Akhilesh Yadav, leader of the Samajwadi Party, has voiced criticism towards the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government for its management of persistent power issues, highlighting the shortcomings of the 'Gujarat model,' which he claims has not delivered results.
Via a post on X, Yadav expressed discontent with the state's power management, noting, "Sparks are flying from forcibly connected wires, and meters continue to run even without power supply." He further alleged that citizens are increasingly frustrated, chasing BJP leaders for solutions.
Further targeting BJP leaders, Yadav commented on the inadequate crisis management, suggesting that both the leadership and their trainers have been ineffective. He underscored public disillusionment with the BJP's apparent inability to tackle emerging problems, indicating a lack of satisfactory responses from their representatives.
Amidst ongoing criticism over power outages during the summer months across Uttar Pradesh, Yadav shared a report highlighting perceived failures of the state's energy minister, AK Sharma, formerly of Gujarat cadre, in addressing these concerns.
