Outgoing CM Siddaramaiah Acknowledged for His Service to Karnataka by Vice President

During a ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of University BDT College of Engineering, Vice President C P Radhakrishnan expressed appreciation for the outgoing Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, praising his significant contributions to the state. Radhakrishnan expressed optimism that the new chief minister would prioritize state development.
Siddaramaiah stepped down from his role amid a leadership struggle with his deputy, D K Shivakumar. Following his resignation, Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot accepted the resignation and dissolved the Cabinet. The Karnataka Congress legislature party will convene on May 30 to elect a new leader, with Shivakumar likely to succeed Siddaramaiah.
