Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister, Vijay, is set to visit Tiruchirappalli on June 1 to express gratitude to voters of the Tiruchirappalli East Assembly constituency. This visit follows his electoral victory from which he later resigned, opting to retain his position representing Perambur.
During the recent elections, Vijay triumphed over his DMK opponents with significant margins in both Tiruchirappalli East and Perambur seats. His upcoming visit to Tiruchirappalli is not just to thank the voters, but also to connect with party members and review local development projects.
The Chief Minister will participate in a thanksgiving event at St Joseph's College. The visit aligns with TVK's strategy requiring all MLAs to personally thank their electorate. Preparations are being expedited to manage the anticipated crowds, with traffic diversions already planned around the venue.
At a recent press briefing, Deputy Speaker Ravi Shankar and TVK leader Ku Pa Krishnan highlighted the efforts to host a successful event without disrupting local transport. Police have confirmed extensive safety measures.
