In a dramatic turn of events, expelled All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) legislator Sandipan Saha has alleged that a resolution with his signature is "fabricated and manufactured." Saha wrote to the West Bengal Legislative Assembly Speaker on May 27, highlighting discrepancies in a resolution dated May 6, 2026.
Saha has requested an immediate investigation into the alleged forgery and how his signature appeared on the document. As the details surrounding the controversial resolution remain scarce, political tension escalates with Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari criticizing the TMC leadership, promising legal action against forgers under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The timeline of the incident reveals that on May 9, the AITC National General Secretary proposed key appointments within the party, followed by another letter with 70 signatures on May 20. In response to his expulsion, Saha condemned his former party's moral stance and affirmed his contentment over his suspension, denying any intention to join another political outfit.
