In a significant political upheaval, Senior Advocate Biswajit Deb has condemned the Trinamool Congress (TMC) leadership's decision to expel MLAs Sandipan Saha and Ritabrata Banerjee. According to Deb, the expulsion stems from Saha and Banerjee's exposure of a fraudulent document allegedly carrying forged signatures, intended for the West Bengal Assembly Speaker.

Deb emphasized that the TMC should have taken firm action against the perpetrators of the forged document, labeling the leadership's decision a 'wrong move.' He stated that the document was used under false pretenses and criticized the TMC's failure to penalize those responsible for the forgery.

As the Central Investigation Department (CID) dives into a formal investigation, the state government regards the matter with due seriousness. Meanwhile, internal TMC narratives claim the expelled MLAs engaged in 'anti-party' activities, escalating political tensions further as opposition figures demand transparency and accountability.
