The Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Kavinder Gupta, ceremoniously initiated a National Cadet Corps (NCC) mountain expedition to Mount Deo Tibba in Kullu district, championing the initiative as crucial for nation-building and character development. The excursion includes 24 selected cadets traversing approximately 50 kilometers of challenging terrain in the Pir Panjal range.

During an address following the flag-off, Governor Gupta commended the cadets and emphasized the significance of such adventures in molding disciplined, responsible citizens. Gupta's message underscored the expedition's potential to instill patriotism and commitment in the participants, enhancing their leadership capabilities for the future.

Highlighting the importance of social unity, Gupta remarked that community efforts, alongside government initiatives, are essential in tackling societal issues like drug abuse. The adventure activities are part of an NCC programme designed to foster leadership, teamwork, and unified national spirit among the youth.
