Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Mamata Banerjee is poised to lead a protest in Kolkata over alleged post-election violence against her party leaders. The demonstration is set for Tuesday at Rani Rashmoni Road, following attacks on TMC figures such as Abhishek and Kalyan Banerjee.

Reacting to the planned event, BJP leader Rahul Sinha questioned its legality, attributing the decision for permissions to the police. He further accused TMC's Abhishek Banerjee of orchestrating the incident to disparage the BJP and bolster his security demands, claiming the true situation has now been revealed.

In the wake of the violence, Mamata Banerjee has expressed outrage over what she described as absurd and authoritarian actions against her party members. She vowed to strengthen TMC, warning that if denied the right to protest in Kolkata, the party would extend its demonstrations to New Delhi.
