North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has inspected the naval destroyer Kang Kon to oversee its navigation test, underscoring the importance of bolstering naval capabilities to prevent nuclear conflict, as reported by the Rodong Sinmun newspaper.

During his visit, Kim commended the navy sailors on their operational prowess and expressed satisfaction with the vessel's performance in cruising and high-speed maneuvering. He directed the navy to urgently deploy the destroyer along with the 5,000-ton warship Choe Hyon, following successful tests.

Kim highlighted the necessity for formidable military strength across land, sea, and air to deter war and preserve peace, stressing the navy's role in preventing nuclear conflict.
