Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel conducted an on-ground inspection of crucial developmental projects in the state, focusing on the expansive infrastructure works between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. Chief among these is the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Project, which spans a 37.60-kilometer stretch to boost tourism and urban aesthetics in the region.
Patel's site review included a thorough assessment of three strategic phases of the riverfront project, with an emphasis on meeting deadlines and maintaining high construction standards. Furthermore, Patel examined the progress of the Gujarat Technological University's new campus, a significant educational development initiative located in Lekawada, targeted for completion by October next year.
Encompassing vital areas, the Water Resources Department is enhancing a 17.20 km segment along the Narmada Canal connecting Karai, Shahpur Bridge, and Chiloda Bridge. The expansive project aims to position the Gandhinagar Metropolitan-GIFT City area as a premier global tourism hub, with improved road infrastructure poised for completion by 2027.
