The forthcoming INDIA bloc meeting is stirring tensions as Communist Party of India (CPI) General Secretary D Raja expressed the Left's grievances regarding Congress's critical statements during the Kerala Assembly elections. D Raja emphasized the necessity for trust within the coalition, highlighting the lack of communication about the meeting's agenda from the bloc's chairperson Mallikarjun Kharge.
While the meeting is expected to see the attendance of 23 political parties, a notable absence will be the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), following Congress's new alliance choices. Despite past disputes, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) will participate, with MP John Brittas set to attend.
Amidst these developments, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) confirmed its non-participation due to previous exit from the alliance post-2024 elections. Additionally, Uttar Pradesh minister Omprakash Rajbhar pointed out internal turmoil within the Trinamool Congress (TMC), predicting a decline in its influence. These dynamics underscore the friction within INDIA bloc as it prepares to discuss strategies against the ruling BJP.
