Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (RV) leader Chirag Paswan voiced his surprise on Monday at the participation of several political parties in the INDIA bloc meeting, despite ongoing differences with the Congress party. He called the alliance a means to camouflage each other's weaknesses.

Paswan expressed bewilderment over Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee attending the gathering, despite past criticism from Congress figures, notably Rahul Gandhi, during West Bengal's election battles. He argued that Congress's betrayal of the DMK underscores the alliance's inherent instability and questioned the sincerity of such collaborations.

As leaders convened in the capital, CPI General Secretary D Raja indicated that the Left would bring up grievances about prior Congress attacks on the Left Democratic Front. Despite Chairman Mallikarjun Kharge's lack of communication regarding the meeting's agenda, tensions were evident, with posters in Delhi critiquing Rahul Gandhi’s past statements appearing prominently.
