At a pivotal alliance meeting held at the Constitution Club, leaders of the INDIA bloc, including Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, highlighted the economic, social, and foreign policy hurdles confronting the country. Kharge criticized the Modi government's management, particularly the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, underscoring its potential impact on voting rights.

Discussions zeroed in on inflation, examination irregularities, and foreign policy concerns, with senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh echoing Kharge's sentiment. Highlighted was the bloc's solidarity in thwarting contentious bills in Parliament, a unity they aim to sustain in response to current political, economic, and societal challenges attributed to the Modi administration.

Prominent figures such as Rahul Gandhi and Mamata Banerjee backed Kharge's statements, while others, like SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, called for preserving democratic values. Despite BJP leader Brajesh Pathak's dismissal of the INDIA bloc's influence, the meeting pressed ahead, signaling a concerted effort towards the 2027 Uttar Pradesh elections.
