In a significant political move, MDMK Chief Vaiko on Monday hailed the INDIA bloc's high-profile meeting with its alliance partners as 'meaningful, purposeful, and successful.' The gathering resulted in five key resolutions, most notably scheduling the alliance's first meeting for early August in Hyderabad. This pivotal assembly aims to chart the bloc's course of coordinated opposition against national issues.

The alliance resolved to submit a petition to the Chief Justice of India, highlighting severe concerns about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process and alleged voter list tampering. Additionally, the bloc called for the Union Education Minister's immediate resignation, condemning the current state of NEET and CBSE exams as a betrayal of youth.

Addressing economic woes, the INDIA bloc urged the government to convene an all-party meeting to tackle issues such as unemployment and inflation. Regular bi-monthly meetings were institutionalized to maintain pressure, beginning with a session in Hyderabad this August. Enhanced parliamentary coordination is planned for the monsoon session, ensuring a unified opposition front.
