In a heated exchange on Monday, Congress Senior Leader Jairam Ramesh targeted Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav, accusing him of election interference rather than his designated duties of safeguarding against environmental infractions. Ramesh's commentary comes in light of purported 'poaching' activities among Trinamool Congress members amid ongoing internal disputes.

Trinamool Congress leader Kirti Azad further leveled accusations against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging they have been spreading misinformation about the unrest within the TMC. He criticized the BJP for supposedly leveraging central agencies to coerce and intimidate party members, thereby attempting to destabilize the party's leadership.

Accompanying the political tensions, allegations emerged concerning renegade leader Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, whose claims were dismissed by Azad as baseless. He insisted that despite BJP's efforts to exploit the situation and harness individual tensions, TMC's core remains united, and external narratives exaggerating internal discord are untenable.
