Karnataka Minister and Congress leader Priyank Kharge has penned an open letter to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), urging clarity on the organization's legal status, financial transparency, and constitutional accountability as it celebrates its centenary. Kharge pointed out the RSS's significant presence, with over 60,000 shakhas, urging adherence to high standards.

Highlighting the annual report for 2025-26 by the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha, Kharge emphasized the RSS's extensive footprint in Karnataka, with 4,127 daily shakhas. He raised concerns over its legal status, financial transparency, and compliance with the Constitution, as the organization remains unregistered.

Kharge called on the RSS to disclose detailed information about its operations, governance, and finances publicly, advocating for constitutional compliance. Stressing the need for transparency in its centenary year, he urged the RSS to function as a legally registered and accountable entity, respecting Indian law.
