DMK Slams Congress for 'Political Immaturity' Post Tamil Nadu Elections
The DMK has accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of 'political immaturity' following the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Alleging a lack of transparency, the DMK's mouthpiece claimed Congress undermines allies at state-level elections despite seeking their support in national polls. Tensions have risen within the INDIA bloc over these complaints.

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) intensified its criticism of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, following the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The party cited Rahul's 'political immaturity' and lack of transparency as underlying issues causing unrest within the INDIA bloc, as reported in their publication, 'Murasoli'.
The DMK alleged that while Congress seeks support from allies during national elections, it undermines them during state polls. 'In state after state, Congress has prevented INDIA bloc partners from taking power but looks for their backing against the BJP during parliamentary contests,' the mouthpiece stated, adding that dissatisfaction was aired at a bloc meeting.
The rift has grown since Congress supported the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in Tamil Nadu's assembly elections—a move labeled as 'betrayal' by DMK cadres, prompting the DMK to skip a recent INDIA bloc meeting. Amid similar unrest, the CPI(M) communicated its concerns to Congress over its actions during the Keralam elections, though it did attend the meeting via MP John Brittas.
