The Enforcement Directorate's probe into Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abhishek Banerjee continues to make headlines, with BJP heavyweight Dilip Ghosh casting shadows over Banerjee's alleged involvement in several cases. Speaking to reporters in Kolkata, Ghosh expressed confidence that the investigation is just beginning and hopes it will yield substantial findings.
Ghosh's assertions came in the wake of Banerjee's recent 11-hour interrogation by the ED. Despite the intense scrutiny, Banerjee remained defiant, asserting his willingness to cooperate fully, even if summoned again. This case adds to the growing political tension in the region.
In a separate issue stirring the political landscape, Ghosh defended the contentious decision to host Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Yoga Day event on June 21 at Red Road, Kolkata. Amid criticism over the venue, Ghosh highlighted its previous use for religious events and emphasized that the arrangements prioritize public interest and legal adherence.
