Russia's Lavrov discusses US-Iran framework agreement with Iran's Araqchi

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed Moscow's readiness to assist in resolving the US-Iranian conflict, citing Russia's unique experience and expertise in crisis resolution.

​Russian Foreign ​Minister Sergei Lavrov ‌spoke to ​his Iranian counterpart Abbas ‌Araqchi on Wednesday about the U.S-Iranian agreement to end the war ‌in the Gulf, and said Moscow ‌was ready to help, Lavrov's ministry said. U.S. and Iranian officials ⁠said ​on ⁠Sunday they had agreed on a framework ⁠to end their war, halt ​the U.S. blockade of ⁠Iran and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Russia ⁠is ​ready to support efforts to resolve the ⁠crisis "based on its unique experience and ⁠expertise", ⁠the foreign ministry said.
