US President Donald Trump thanked Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin for their neutrality during the war with Iran, which he claimed made the situation "a lot better".

U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday thanked China's Xi Jinping and Russia's Vladimir Putin for what he called their neutrality during the war with Iran.
"I just want to thank them because they made it a lot better," Trump said at a press conference on the sidelines of the Group of Seven conference in Evian-les-Bains, France, adding that both leaders had been "neutral."
