EU remains committed to constructive relationship with Israel, Kallas says

The European Union's top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, reaffirmed the EU's commitment to a constructive relationship with Israel despite Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar's decision to sever contact.

​Kaja Kallas, ​the European Union's ‌top diplomat, ​said on Thursday that ‌the EU remains committed to a constructive relationship with Israel, after Israeli ‌foreign minister Gideon Saar said ‌he was severing all contact with her.

In a post on X ⁠addressed ​to ⁠Saar, Kallas said: "I value our dialogue and ⁠engagement, and I'm open to ​continue in that spirit, respectfully ⁠and constructively."

Kallas said the EU remained ⁠committed ​to the two-state solution and reiterated that the ⁠EU has condemned Israeli settlements in the ⁠West ⁠Bank.
