Tonga and Norway Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Tonga and Norway are working together to tackle common global issues such as climate change through multilateral cooperation. The Norwegian Crown Prince Haakon said that Tonga and Norway are big supporters of the United Nations system. Another thing he mentioned is working for a healthy ocean and combating climate change because weather is out of balance and unfortunately oceans are not as healthy as they should be. The Crown Prince said their common interest was also connected with safety and security. "Even though we are far apart, the ocean connects us and we have the opportunity to stand together on many of these important issues and frankly, the only way to tackle these global issues is the multilateral systems because its not possible for one nation to do it alone." He added.
