Ex-MP from Sirsa and Haryana Congress chief Ashok Tanwar filed nomination papers for 2019 polls amidst massive crowds and pouring support in Nehru Park of Sirsa on Saturday, April 20. Party workers were delighted and hoped for Sirsa to come to the forefront of national politics if the 43-year old Congress leader wins the poll from here.
Ashok Tanwar has, in the past, expressed confidence regarding Congress party winning all 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana. Parivartan Bus Yatra (a campaign for a change) conducted by the state Congress unit recently made it amply clear that Ashok Tanwar has great vibrancy on ground and workers sound optimistic about his win in elections.
Polling will be held for Haryana's the 10 parliamentary seats including Sirsa on May 12. Tanwar has also played a critical role in deciding the names of other candidates from Haryana. He has been a central figure responsible for Congress' revival after BJP's landslide victory in 2014.
