Rs 1 cr raised in Baramati for flood relief on Pawar's appeal

NCP chief Sharad Pawar said onFriday that an appeal for helping flood-affected people inKolhapur, Sangli and Satara districts of Western Maharashtraraised Rs 1 crore in Baramati, his hometown, within few hours

He had made the appeal at a meeting at the AgricultureProduce Market Committee in the morning and within hours,individuals as well as local organizations donated money,raising Rs 1 crore, he tweeted

NCP sources said that Pawar would be visiting Sangliand Satara districts on Saturday, accompanied by party leaderDhananjay Munde.
