The Defense Ministry of India reportedly tested their indigenously developed bombs, the Smart Anti-Airfield Weapons (SAAW) and their anti-tank guided missile Helina successfully at their Rajasthan's firing grounds on Sunday.
The SAAW was tested at the Chandan range while Helina was test fired at the Pokhran range. The former was dropped off an Indian Army aircraft to test its efficiency.
The Ministry commented on the SAAW to be comprised of a live warhead and it did, indeed, hit the target with a high precision.
While for the Helina missile, it too performed as predicted with its tracking and target-hitting efficiencies outperforming any previous missile test.
It was dropped off an army chopper as it is a specialized weapon indigenously developed to be launched from a helicopter.
