It can be noted that the two regulators had last year signed an agreement for training drug control officials in the state on par with the USFDA standards to provide safe and efficacious medicines globally, state FDCA commissioner said.

As many as 124 USFDA-certified pharmaceutical units located in the state export drugs worth Rs 28,000 crore, out of the country's total export of Rs 1,00,000 crore to the US and other developed markets, according to him.
