Germany's Lindner: Up to ECB to get inflation under control

It is the responsibility of the European Central Bank to get inflation under control, German Finance Minister Christian Lindner said on Wednesday.

"We have been in an economic crisis for some time," Lindner told a banking event, adding that people were experiencing things getting more expensive when doing their daily shopping.

The top priority is monetary stability, said Lindner, and it is up to the ECB to get inflation back under control.
