Germany's Scholz: Climate goals reachable with China's cooperation

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Tuesday climate goals could be reached more easily with fair competition and open market access in China, according to prepared remarks.

"One thing is clear: It will be easier for every country in the world to achieve its climate goals if we have fair competition, open market access and a level playing field," said Scholz in remarks after a Chinese-German forum in Berlin.

"We all make faster progress with the green transformation if we share technologies with each other without having to fear that copyrights will be disregarded," he said.
