UNESCO and LG AI Research Launch Global MOOC on AI Ethics to Promote AI Development

UNESCO and LG AI Research are collaboratively developing a global Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to champion the ethical development and deployment of AI technologies. The announcement was made during a signing ceremony at the AI Seoul Summit on May 22, 2024.
The Ethics of AI MOOC, based on the Global Recommendation on the Ethics of AI adopted by all UNESCO Member States in 2021, will offer comprehensive educational materials and foster capacity-building initiatives. This course is designed to equip AI practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and advocates with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the ethical landscape of AI, addressing crucial topics such as bias mitigation, privacy safeguards, transparency, and human oversight.
