Vedanta Aluminium has partnered with IORA Ecological Solutions to promote biodiversity conservation and natural resource management near its operations. This collaboration, aimed at climate mitigation and sustainable development, includes landscape-level management of local ecosystems and community-led initiatives in Odisha and Chhattisgarh.

Vedanta Aluminium has marked a significant step in environmental stewardship by partnering with IORA Ecological Solutions. This initiative aims to implement nature-based solutions to conserve biodiversity and manage natural resources in proximity to its operations.

Founded in 2009, IORA provides pivotal expertise in resource conservation, carbon forestry, climate change mitigation, and adaptation. The partnership will involve IORA aiding Vedanta Aluminium in the development and execution of projects targeting the landscape-level management of local ecosystems. These efforts align with global sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Furthermore, Vedanta Aluminium plans to execute nature-based climate offset and biodiversity management projects in collaboration with surrounding communities and stakeholders, particularly in Odisha and Chhattisgarh. CEO John Slaven emphasized the integration of sustainability into the company's core operational strategy, reflecting the commitment to positive socio-economic and environmental impact.
