Delhi Faces Power Crisis After Fire at Mandola Sub-station

Delhi Power Minister Atishi reported a significant power outage in Delhi stemming from a fire at the Mandola sub-station of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) in Uttar Pradesh. This incident heavily impacted the eastern and central parts of the city, prompting urgent restoration efforts and future preventive measures.

A significant power outage crippled Delhi on Tuesday, following a fire at Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd's (PGCIL) sub-station in Mandola, Uttar Pradesh, according to Delhi Power Minister Atishi.

Discom officials flagged the east and central regions of the capital as the most affected. Restoration efforts are currently underway.

Atishi, in a statement on X, indicated that she intends to meet with the Union Power Minister and the PGCIL Chairman to prevent recurrences.
