In a tragic discovery, a 72-year-old woman and her 42-year-old son were found dead under unexplained circumstances inside their Shalimar Bagh residence in northwest Delhi, police confirmed.

The disturbing find was made by their domestic help on Wednesday evening, who found the elderly woman on the bed and her son on the floor. Neighbors, alerted by the help, contacted the police, who rushed the duo to a hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Authorities have noted that no foul play is suspected at this time, though definitive causes will be established following post-mortem examinations. The woman owned two rented-out shops, and her family members, including a daughter in Nihal Vihar and a son in Japan, have been informed.
