PM Modi to Unveil Major Infrastructure Projects in Mumbai Worth Rs 29,400 Crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil multiple infrastructure projects in Mumbai, with a combined worth exceeding Rs 29,400 crore, officials disclosed. The event will be held at the NESCO Exhibition Centre in Goregaon on Saturday.
Among the key projects, PM Modi will lay the foundation stones for the Thane-Borivali Tunnel and Goregaon Mulund Link Road, featuring twin tunnels. He will also initiate Central Railway's Kalyan yard remodelling and the Gati Shakti MultiModal Cargo Terminal at Turbhe in Navi Mumbai. New platforms at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and extended platforms at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus will also be dedicated to the nation.
The Thane-Borivali Tunnel Project, costing Rs 16,600 crore and passing under Sanjay Gandhi National Park, aims to cut down travel time between Thane and Borivali by 12 kilometers, saving an hour's journey. The Goregaon Mulund Link Road project, valued at Rs 6,300 crore, will similarly reduce travel time to 25 minutes from the current 75 minutes. These projects promise significant improvements in travel efficiency and urban connectivity.
