Madhya Pradesh CM Curtails Nightlife on Indore's BRTS Corridor Amid Crime Concerns
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has ended 24-hour operations along Indore's BRTS corridor due to rising concerns about liquor consumption and crime. The decision, influenced by local representatives, requires businesses to close by midnight, except eateries near bus stands and railway stations, which can remain open 24 hours.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday terminated the 24-hour operational status along the BRT corridor in Indore, responding to complaints from public representatives about increased liquor consumption and crime.
Known as 'mini Mumbai,' Indore had permitted outlets along the 11.45-km Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) from Niranjanpur Square to Rajiv Gandhi Square to remain open round the clock since an order issued on September 13, 2022. This initiative aimed at generating employment and boosting the local economy.
Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, representing Indore 1 seat, stated that local representatives unanimously called for the removal of this 24-hour rule. As per CM Yadav's instructions, while eateries near bus stands and railway stations can operate 24 hours, other businesses must close by midnight.
