A young couple narrowly avoided tragedy when they jumped from the Jogmandi railway bridge in Pali after seeing a train approaching. Police reported that the train's speed was slow enough to halt, but the couple had already leaped off the bridge.

The incident involved Rahul Mewada, 22, and his 20-year-old wife Jhanvi, both residents of Hariamali near Sojat road. They were visiting Goram Ghat and walking on the meter gauge railway line when the Marwar passenger train from Kamlighat railway station came into view.

A video of the jump, captured by a relative at the scene, shows the couple's desperate act. The train driver and guard assisted in rescuing them, and they were promptly transported to hospitals for treatment. Rahul is being treated at AIIMS Jodhpur, while Jhanvi is in a Pali hospital.
