Tragic End in Thiruvananthapuram: Body of Missing Sanitary Worker Joy Found

The body of Joy, a missing sanitary worker, was discovered in the Amayizhanchan canal, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on Monday. Joy disappeared while cleaning the waste-filled canal on Saturday, leading to a massive 46-hour search by multiple agencies. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has extended his condolences to Joy's family.

The Kerala government announced on Monday that the body of Joy, a sanitary worker who went missing while cleaning a waste-filled canal in Thiruvananthapuram, has been found.

Authorities confirmed the body found in the Amayizhanchan canal was Joy's, identified by corporation sanitation workers. An expert team from the Indian Navy had joined the exhaustive search operation to locate Joy.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed deep sorrow over Joy's tragic death, highlighting the collective efforts by multiple agencies in the rescue operation.
