Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar blamed the Delhi government on Sunday for the deaths of three civil services aspirants at a coaching institute, stating that accountability needs to be fixed.

Khattar pointed out that illegal construction and encroachment are state issues and should be addressed effectively. "The responsibility lies directly with the Delhi government. It is a different matter that the Delhi government has announced a committee. The responsibility should be fixed and everyone should come forward to remove the shortcomings," Khattar said at a press conference. The minister, who was in the city to outline the Union Budget provisions, also criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee's walkout from a NITI Ayog meeting for alleged microphone issues, labeling it as a pre-planned act.

Khattar highlighted the Union Budget, focusing on development initiatives for villages, the poor, farmers, and women. He emphasized the framework for employment of the needy, increasing farmer incomes, and women's self-reliance. Additionally, the budget also plans for development in infrastructure, tourism, urban development, industry, and energy sectors.
