At least four individuals lost their lives, while four others sustained injuries in separate lightning strike incidents across Jharkhand's Ranchi district, according to an official report on Tuesday.

Three fatalities occurred in Mandar block, with one in Chanho block. Mandar Circle Officer Rajendra Das confirmed that each death happened in the villages of Cambo, Tilta, and Baski, situated about 30 km from Ranchi.

The injured, all from Cambo village, have been referred to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi for better medical care. Das added that the victims were struck by lightning while sowing paddy. Additionally, a 30-year-old woman was fatally struck by lightning in Lundri village, Chanho police station area, noted another official.
