Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan confirmed that 1,592 people were rescued in a two-day operation, highlighting the coordinated and extensive rescue efforts undertaken.

With the pressing need to connect the most affected areas, the temporary construction of a 190-foot-long Bailey bridge is underway. Sniffer dogs and intelligent buried object detection systems are also being deployed to locate trapped individuals. The Chief Minister has urged everyone to contribute to the Chief Minister's Disaster Relief Fund to support the ongoing relief and recovery efforts.
