Tragedy in Himachal Pradesh: Flash Floods Trigger Devastation, Rescue Operations in Full Swing

Rescue operations are ongoing to locate about 45 missing individuals following catastrophic flash floods in Himachal Pradesh, which claimed eight lives. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced immediate relief efforts and aid for the victims. Multiple agencies are involved in the rescue mission, and the death toll may rise as the search continues.

Rescue operations are underway to locate approximately 45 people missing after flash floods triggered by cloudbursts in three districts of Himachal Pradesh, officials confirmed on Friday.

With the discovery of three more bodies, the death toll from the flood disaster in the regions of Nirmand, Sainj, and Malana in Kullu, as well as Mandi's Padhar and Shimla's Rampur subdivision, has risen to eight.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, along with Education Minister Rohit Thakur, visited Samej on the Shimla-Kullu border to assess the situation and meet the affected residents.
