Naidu's Vision: Transforming Amaravati into a Wealth-Generating Hub

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to allot lands to entities capable of transforming Amaravati into a wealth-generating hub. He emphasized reviewing past land allotments and ensuring CRDA's retention in the designated area. Additionally, Naidu discussed transforming Amaravati into an education hub and approved crucial infrastructure projects.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday directed officials to allot lands only to entities capable of transforming the Amaravati capital region into a wealth-generating hub.

He also ordered a review of past land allotments and emphasized extending opportunities solely to entities with a genuine interest, according to an official release.

The CM affirmed that the Amaravati Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) will retain its authority over the 8,352 sq km area as per the 2015 government order number 207.

During a review meeting at the Secretariat, Naidu noted that CRDA would continue operating in its earlier designated area.

Discussing 12 issues related to the greenfield capital city, Naidu reviewed land allocations made to 130 institutions during the 36th CRDA authority meeting.

Naidu discussed with officials how soon land allottees could restart construction.

Additionally, he examined transforming Amaravati into an education hub and considered what types of institutions should be invited and who should be granted land.

He envisioned that India’s top 10 colleges, schools, and hospitals should be set up in Amaravati.

Naidu gave his approval for the inner ring road construction and the expansion of the route leading to Amaravati.

Meanwhile, officials informed the CM that some villages merged with the Mangalagiri civic body should be reinstated into the capital city.
