Tragedy Strikes: Tractor-Trolley Accident in Kolhapur Claims One Life, Two Missing

One individual drowned, and two remain missing after a tractor-trolley accident in Maharashtra's Kolhapur district on Friday, according to officials.

Four other vehicle occupants swam to safety amidst heavy rains and flooding in the area.

District authorities report that the vehicle, carrying seven people, fell into a waterbody near Akiwat village. Rescue efforts continue for the missing individuals. The National Disaster Response Force and local teams are involved in the search operations.

The deceased was identified as Suhas Patil. District guardian minister Hasan Mushrif has announced a Rs 4 lakh compensation for Patil's family.
