Kerala to Build Safe Township for Landslide Victims

Kerala's Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, has announced plans to build a township to rehabilitate those displaced by landslides in northern Kerala. Industries Minister P Rajeev stated that a model project will be prepared and urged all sectors to collaborate. The project will be funded by the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF).

Industries Minister P Rajeev, speaking in Wayanad, revealed that a model project will be prepared to ensure a safe township. The rehabilitation effort will be financed through the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF), which he assured is audited and transparent.

A Geeta, Joint Commissioner of Land Revenue and former District Collector of Wayanad, has been tasked with finding a suitable resettlement area for displaced individuals currently living in relief camps.
