In response to the tragic deaths of 13 children due to wall collapses, the Madhya Pradesh government has ordered the identification and removal of dilapidated buildings in urban areas. The government aims to prevent further incidents by removing dangerous constructions.
The opposition Congress criticized the government for its delayed response and called for the registration of murder cases against those responsible for the negligence in Sagar and Rewa districts. Congress leader KK Mishra emphasized the lack of accountability and the need for preventive action.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav directed administrative officers to take legal action to prevent recurrences, while Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya affirmed the commitment to public safety. In related news, Vijayvargiya also launched a traffic volunteer campaign to improve urban traffic management in Indore.
