An infant was tragically killed and five family members sustained injuries after a fire erupted in their home in Neelmani Colony, Sahibabad. The incident occurred on Wednesday when a gas cylinder leak led to a blaze.

The fire broke out as the wife tried to ignite the gas stove. 'A married couple with minor children and two other family members, living in a rented house, were injured in the fire,' stated Deputy Commissioner of Police Nimish Patil.

All injured individuals were transported to the district hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, a six-month-old infant named Ladoo was referred to Safdarjung Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The other injured members are still receiving medical care.
