ISRO Successfully Launches Earth Observation Satellite, Marking Major Milestone for SSLV

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched the Earth Observation Satellite (EOS-08) on board the small satellite launch vehicle (SSLV-D3). The mission achieved precise orbit placement, marking a major milestone for India's space program. The SSLV technology is set to be transferred to industries, enhancing future endeavors.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) achieved a significant milestone on Friday with the successful launch of the Earth Observation Satellite (EOS-08) on a small satellite launch vehicle (SSLV-D3), significantly boosting India's space program.

The third developmental flight carrying EOS-08 and a passenger satellite, SR-0 DEMOSAT, was successfully placed into the intended orbit. ISRO Chairman S Somanath confirmed the precise orbit placement with no deviations, adding that all launch parameters were perfect.

Somanath commended the SSLV-D3 project team and highlighted the successful transfer of SSLV technology to industries, indicating a promising start for the launch vehicle. Mission Director S S Vinod acknowledged the team's efforts in meeting the targeted launches of D1, D2, and D3 in a short timeframe, marking the transition to the operational phase of SSLV.
