Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has mandated monthly reports on facility inspections by senior officers in light of the civic infrastructure collapse during the monsoon, officials said on Monday.

In response, the Aam Aadmi Party criticized Saxena for reiterating points already made by the elected government, highlighting a lack of action against Delhi Jal Board officers.

Principal Secretary Ashish Kundra, on behalf of the LG, emphasized the need for regular, structured inspections. These inspections aim to provide first-hand insights into citizens' challenges and prompt corrective actions, with a standardized format for reporting results monthly.
