Health Minister and government spokesperson Rushikesh Patel stated that areas are submerged under 10 to 12 feet of water. The Vishwamitri river crossed its danger mark due to heavy rains and water release from Ajwa dam.

Efforts to control the situation include deploying multiple Army columns and disaster response teams. More than 38,000 food packets have been distributed, and long-term solutions are being considered, such as diverting floodwaters into the Narmada canal.
