Heavy snowfall likely in Uttarakhand, government issues alert

Uttarakhand government has issued alert to all the District Magistrates following reports by Meteorological Department, Dehradun for the possibility of heavy snowfall and rain in the state, especially in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh & Bageshwar today and tomorrow.

Heavy snowfall has been reported since Wednesday this week. The plain regions in Uttarakhand are also facing an intense cold wave.
