The hurricane moved across Florida, battering cities with intense winds, heavy rain, and triggering a series of tornadoes. The storm left at least four people dead and added to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, sparing Tampa from severe damage.

In its final hours, Hurricane Milton shifted southward, making landfall as a Category 3 hurricane in Siesta Key, approximately 70 miles south of Tampa. The extent of the damage will become clearer as the situation unfolds.
