A teenage boy allegedly drove over two women in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, while they were making rangolis outside their homes, police stated on Tuesday. The incident, captured on CCTV, unfolded on Monday evening, leading to the detainment of the 17-year-old driver.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Vinod Kumar Meena reported that the victims, Priyanshi Prajapat, 21, and Navya Prajapat, 14, suffered severe injuries after the speeding car hit them in the Aerodrome police station area. The driver fled the scene but was later apprehended in the Betma area, with the vehicle seized for further investigation.

Authorities disclosed that the young driver claimed to be 17, using an acquaintance's car. Efforts are underway to confirm his age. The victims are receiving medical treatment at a hospital, with the condition of one being critical. The incident's video has gained traction on social media, raising public awareness.
